BE A RIGHT PERSON

When the Person Is Right

One rainy Sunday afternoon, a little boy was bored and his father was sleepy. The father decided to create an activity to keep the kid busy. So, he found in the morning newspaper a large map of the world. He took scissors and cut it into a good many irregular shapes like a jigsaw puzzle. Then he said to his son, "See if you can put this puzzle together. And don't disturb me until you're finished." He turned over on the couch, thinking this would occupy the boy for at least an hour. To his amazement, the boy was tapping his shoulder ten minutes later telling him that the job was done. The father saw that every piece of the map had been fitted together perfectly. "How did you do that?" he asked. "It was easy, Dad. There was a picture of a man on the other side. When I got him together right, the world was right."

A person's world can never be right until the person is right

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

APPRECIATE THE THINGS THAT YOU HAVE.
One day, a very wealthy man took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah," said the son.
"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered:
"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.
Appreciate every single thing you have!

Never ever give up

Don't give up.....

One day I decided to quit...
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
"God", I asked, "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me...
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them.
I gave them light.
I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.
"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed.
But I would not quit.
In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would
not quit." He said.
"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared
to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6
months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.
I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He asked me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots".
"I would not quit on the bamboo.
I will never quit on you."
"Don't compare yourself to others."
He said.
"The bamboo had adifferent Purpose than the fern.
Yet they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come", God said to me.
"You will rise high"
"How high should I rise?"
I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
I left the forest and brought back this story.
I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.
Never, Never, Never Give up.
Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is,
tell the problem how Great the Lord is!

You never know when GOD is going to bless you!! Good things happen when you least expect them to !!!!!!!!

Life's Lessons

LIFE'S LESSONS.

*    Have faith in yourself and your abilities.
•     Don't be too proud to ask for help.
•     One door closes, but another door somewhere is opening. Be alert.
•     Work towards improving yourself all the time. Never be complacent.
•     If today is not going the way you want it to, don't fret. Tomorrow will be a brighter day.
•     Set your own standards for failure and success. Be rigid about your limits on failure, but not about success.
•     Bear in mind that neither success nor failure is everlasting. However, you can work towards making your success last longer.
•     Work hard, smart and faithfully. You will never know  when you will be recognised for your effort.
•     Don't feel disheartened or sad, do something that energises you.
•     Smile. It will obscure the darkness of failure and outshine the glory of success.

the worth of your parents

Honour your father and your mother so that your days may be long upon this earth.

                                                                              Ten commandments.
VALUE OF PARENTS.

A father was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his highly educated
son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"
The Son replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is
this?"
The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, what is
this?"
At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he
said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, "What is
this?"
This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the
same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A
CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered
diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he
asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were
written in the diary :-
"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a
crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I
replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time
h e asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all
feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".
While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father
had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when
today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt
irritated and annoyed.
So..If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden,
but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them.
Be considerate to your parents.

Be careful of your temper

TEMPER LEAVES SCARS; CONTROL IT.

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven nearly two dozen nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily, gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally, the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, “You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same.. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how may times you say I’m sorry, the wound is still there.”
A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

FEELING THE PRESENCE OF GOD

FEELING THE PRESENCE OF GOD.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of foot prints. He also noticed that this happened at the lowest and saddest time in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it, “Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me”

The Lord replied, “My precious, precious child I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”

thought for the day

Just for today, do not worry.
Just for today, do not anger.
Honor your parents, teachers, and elders.
Earn your living honestly.
Show gratitude to everything.

Garbage handling

How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood?
